The flight went well. Took longer than expected to get vans but the kids were patient. On the way to the Keys, Ms. Kann's van blew a front tire. Each kid in my van learned how to look up directions in the owner's manual, remove the spare from under the van, loosen lug nuts, jack up the van, switch out tires, and put everything back together. Now that's hands on learning for you! !!! We arrived late and hungry. Fortunately we were met with a great meal and a Pigeon Key crew ready to get started. Special thanks to Brett for supervising tire changing like a seasoned pro, and Jared for offering me and my filthy hands his hand sanitizer and his towel. We are ending our very long day with reef fish identification activities.
